Soul & Smoke is Chicago's fastest-growing BBQ brand. Our founders, Chef D'Andre and partner Heather, learned how to cook and serve with excellence while igniting change from Chicago's OG food provocateur, Chef Homaro Cantu of Moto. The pair left the restaurant industry to bring their fine dining touches to new culinary ventures like underground dinner parties and chef-crafted catering.

But when the pandemic flipped the world on its head, they pivoted to feed a community desperately seeking comfort. Partnering with World Central Kitchen, the duo provided over 100,000 meals to Chicagoans. They raised their business from the ashes by revisiting their restaurant roots and offering to-go options from their catering kitchen door. As the takeout concept took off, so did the Soul & Smoke brand. In three short years, we've expanded to multiple locations, including a spot at Soldier Field, two food trucks, and a retail line—all without external funding. At every turn, we're obsessed with delivering the boldest, highest-quality BBQ. And we're just getting started. After all, good takes time.
